About Lamkin
Lamkin was founded in Chicago in 1925 by Elver B. Lamkin, making it the nation's first manufacturer of grips for golf clubs.
In 1960, Elver's son Robert became president of Lamkin. Three years later, in 1963, Lamkin introduced the first combination leather and rubber grip,using injected molded rubber.
In 1980, Lamkin incorporated synthetic materials in order to enhance feel and durability. Seven years later, Lamkin introduced their synthetic moisture-resistant family of grips.
In 1995, Lamkin introduced their first generation of Crossline grips. It became the best selling grip in the history of the company.
