Lamkin Performance Plus 3Gen Golf Grip

The Lamkin Midsize Performance Plus 3GEN Round Grip features the all-new, revolutionary 3GEN proprietary synthetic rubber compound that is a complete material advancement that feels soft and is superior in every way to competitors' polyurethane grips.

3GEN is a very unique synthetic rubber compound that is both soft and tacky, -- providing unmatched "single-strike" vibration-dampening properties that protects the golfer from jarring shockwaves. In fact, 3GEN mutes virtually all vibration and stinging of the hands at impact, providing an incredibly soft feel.

3GEN is a form of rubber that has very low torque, similar to that of a traditional rubber grip, and will not feel as if it is sliding around the shaft at impact. That firmness lasts throughout the life of the grip. 3GEN also features a vastly improved resistance to environmental aging and weathering factors.

The material will not absorb any moisture and its tackiness is activated by toweling off the grip or using a light abrasive brush. Lamkin's Performance Plus grips were designed to provide a unified, tension-free grip that can result in higher swing speeds.

    About Lamkin

Lamkin was founded in Chicago in 1925 by Elver B. Lamkin, making it the nation's first manufacturer of grips for golf clubs.

In 1960, Elver's son Robert became president of Lamkin. Three years later, in 1963, Lamkin introduced the first combination leather and rubber grip, using injected molded rubber.

In 1980, Lamkin incorporated syntrhetic materials in order to enhance feel and durability. Seven years later, Lamkin introduced their synthetic moisture-resistant family of grips.

In 1995, Lamkin introduced their first generation of Crossline grips. It became the best selling grip in the history of the company.

In 2004, Lamkin introduced Dual Density, their first true high-tech grip designed to reduce torque and provide superior performance in any type of weather.

In 2006, Lamkin introduced Dual Density Torsion Control grips that combined an all-new stabilizing, torque-reduction design, Lamkin's revolutionary base later, and its patented Laser-Tac surface.

In 2009, Lamkin introduced its revolutionary 3GEN material and N-DUR grips.
