Cleveland CG16 Black Pearl Irons Overview

The Cleveland CG16 Iron Set features the same industry-leading face and groove technology offered in Cleveland Golf's famous wedges.

The faces of the CG16 irons feature wedge-authentic milled Tour Zip Grooves and laser-milled face technology to optimize spin for improved distance control. The soles feature the club number as well as the loft values to allow players to more easily integrate their iron set with a strategically selected wedge set to even distance gap spacing.

This set is designed as a scoring set with precision and accuracy in mind from the longest iron to the highest lofted wedge. The CG16's are designed with a lighter overall club weight and longer club length for maximum distance.

The large cavity back with a full undercut stretches the center of gravity low and deep to optimize the launch angle and significantly improve forgiveness. The large thin face allows for an increased coeffecient of restitution and maximum ball speed that will produce distance competitive with any iron set in the market — but with better control.

Roger Cleveland began producing and selling golf clubs in 1979. Cleveland Golf started off as a company known for producing exquisite replicas of classic golf clubs from the 1940's and 1950's.
