MTP® Elite Cassette - 1x12 Fiber MTP/PC Elite-Male (With Pins), LC/UPC 12 Fiber, MM, 50/125um, OM3, Aqua Adapters, LGX Compatible, A-Polarity
This 12-fiber MTP® Elite-to-LC Cassette is specifically designed for High-Density Fiber Cable Data solutions. The MTP® Elite Cassette comes pre-terminated with (1) 12-Fiber Male MTP® Elite connector on the back side and 12 separate LC connectors on the front panel. Inside the MTP® Elite cassette, there is a fan-out (or breakout) cable assembly from the LC connector in the front to the MTP® Elite connector in the back, providing a quick and easy plug-and-play data solution. This cassette utilizes a physical contact connector with ultra-low insertion loss (MTP® Elite Cables reduce insertion loss by up to 50% compared to standard MTP® Elite connectors and traditional MPO connectors).
From the front of your cassette, you may patch out with standard duplex (or simplex) fiber optic patch cables to your equipment such as an SFP module or fiber optic media converter. The cassette can be installed in either a vertical or a horizontal MPO cassette holder.
The use of our MTP® Elite cassettes in the data center offers the advantage of greater manageability and amiability with a modular infrastructure. It also allows for rapid deployment of fiber optic cabling in data centers, corporate campuses, or any high-density installation. As future connectivity requirements change, cassettes can be easily exchanged to meet those needs, while leaving the existing trunk cable infrastructure in place. These cassettes are designed to fit our standard LGX termination box enclosures.

MTP® Elite High-Density Cassettes
A cassette is a packaged, pre-terminated cabling assembly that transitions from multi-fiber cables and array connectors to traditional single-fiber connectors. Our cassettes are fitted with 12 or 24 LC Connections on the front and one or two 12-fiber MTP® Elite/MPO adapters on the back depending on if they are 12 or 24 fiber. The type of adapter mounted at the rear of a cassette defines it as either a Type A or Type B MTP® Elite/MPO modular cassette.
Type A Cassette
Type A MTP® Elite/MPO cassette uses a “key up to key down” adapter connection between the internal MPO/MTP® Elite Elite connector and the MPO/MTP® Elite array cable connector.
Type B Cassette
Type B MTP® Elite/MPO cassette uses a “key up to key up” adapter connection between the internal MPO/MTP® Elite connector and the MPO/MTP® Elite array cable connector.
Note: Method A cassette works for both single-mode and multimode channels, while there is a limitation of Method B cassette: it doesn’t allow the use of an angled polished (APC) single-mode connector.
