The Fault Trapper Arc Fault Cable Tester

The Fault Trapper Cable Tester uses Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry to monitor live circuits and allows unattended monitoring of circuit breaker trips and No Fault Found (NFF) conditions. It features an in-line 40 Amp module which supplies power to the main unit and isolates the circuit (up to 300 VAC) being monitored from the breaker.

With its three-button operation, the Fault Trapper meter identifies opens, shorts and arc faults, locates them and reports time of electrical events, plus distance in feet/meters. All results are saved in the memory. This cable tester has a backlit LCD display and back-up battery which allows viewing of the last faults off-line. Identify opens, shorts and arc faults up to 500 feet. UL/CSA approved, 120-240 volts, and up to 40 AMP circuits. It is 300V CAT III rated, TUV & CE compliant. The tester supports NEC 1699 and UL1699/1699B requirements.
