Fiber Optic Scope

Fiber Inspection Scopes

Repair and maintenance work on fiber optic cable networks requires precise tools like fiber inspection scopes for accurate diagnosis. The fiber scope allows installation and maintenance technicians to be able to perform magnified inspections of fiber optic cable. Utilizing a fiber scope they can also check fiber optic connectors during installation to verify correct setup.

Primus Cable offers fiber scopes like the AFL / Noyes DFS1 Digital Fiber Scope for magnified high resolution video imaging of fiber end-faces. Utilization of an electronic fiber inspection scope like the DFS1 eliminates the risk of eye damage from viewing fibers directly. This fiber inspection scope delivers the images via USB port to AFL’s M-series or C-series OTDR, or certification tester.

A large adjustment knob allows easy focusing in real time. A convenient trigger on the fiber scope signals image capture for analysis. No additional power source is required for this device, as it is powered by its USB port. The AFL SimpleView™ Fiber Inspection Software allows this fiber scope to be used with Windows® XP or Windows® 7 operating systems.

We also provide the Greenlee Fiber Video Inspection Scope with USB Option. This fiber inspection scope from Greenlee is an extremely easy to use video fiber connector inspection system. It uses a unique focus system for field connector inspection. This development virtually eliminates the need to place the users hand in the same position each time for effective focus control.

This fiber scope has a bright 3.5” LCD display and precision optics to provide an unmatched FOV (field of view) of 630µm by 440µm. Extended use Lithium Ion batteries provide 8-10 hours of continuous use. When charging is necessary the included "smart AC charger" charges the battery in 3 hours and allows the unit to continue to operate.

Primus Cablealso provides fiber cable testers to supplement your fiber optic scope like the AFL / Noyes M310 Enterprise OTDR. AFL's TruEvent™ Technology advanced event analysis software detects, locates and measures network events more accurately, allowing users to confidently determine where losses meet or exceed specification. This fiber cable tester is easy to use, and comes standard with integrated source, power meter, and VFL. It also has a dynamic range of up to 38dB.

Primus Cable is your one stop shop for everything fiber related. With everything from fusion splicers, fiber testers, termination tools, and cleaning kits, we’ve got you covered! Let us help you make your fiber maintenance or installation project run smoothly. Thank you for visiting our site.
