Collection: Pushable Fiber

What is Pushable Fiber?

A type of fiber optic cable that can be pushed or pulled through a duct or wall to install fiber for the final part of a network.

The demand for pushable fiber cables has skyrocketed in recent years, fueled by the continuous growth of global data consumption, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and the proliferation of data centers. As a result, there’s a constant need for infrastructure upgrades and expansions, which push the limits of conventional fiber optic cable systems.

Many traditional fiber optic installation techniques require large entry points, complicated splicing, and significant time and labor. However, pushable fiber cables' versatility and ease of use have quickly made them a preferred choice for many installers and network operators.

The growing popularity of PUSHABLES can be attributed to several key factors:

  • Space-Saving Design: With a miniaturized small-form connector and a Microcore 3mm cable system, pushable fiber cables can fit into tight spaces that other cable systems cannot. This is particularly advantageous in urban settings, where space is at a premium and avoiding damage to structures is a priority.
  • Ease of Installation: The peelable design of pushable fiber cables allows quick access to the fiber optic strands, simplifying the preparation process for termination or splicing. This can save significant time and effort during installation.
  • Staple-able: Pushable fiber cables can be stapled for fast and secure attachment to various surfaces, ensuring a neat and organized installation.
