Collection: Fiber Assemblies

Fiber optic assemblies from Primus Cable provide pre-terminated solutions for fast, reliable fiber network deployment. Whether you need pigtails for fusion splicing, MTP trunk cables for high-density backbones, or MTP harness cables for breakout applications, our fiber assemblies are factory-terminated and tested to ensure consistent optical performance with low insertion loss across every connection.

Fiber Pigtails

Fiber optic pigtails feature a connector pre-terminated on one end with exposed fiber on the other for fusion or mechanical splicing to single or multi-fiber trunks. Available with LC, SC, and ST connectors in single mode OS2 and multimode OM1, OM3, and OM4, our pigtails come in unjacketed and jacketed versions with strand counts from 1 to 12 fibers. UPC and APC polish options support standard networking and FTTx applications. Jacketed pigtails include a partial outer jacket to protect tight buffers during installation, which can be removed for tighter bend radius in high-density environments.

MTP Trunk Cables

MTP trunk cables feature MTP connectors on both ends, consolidating up to 72 fibers into a single high-density link. Available in OS2 single mode with APC polish and OM3/OM4 multimode with UPC polish, these trunk cables support 12, 24, 48, and 72 strand counts with Method A, B, and C polarity options. Plenum-rated OFNP jackets meet fire code requirements for air-handling spaces. MTP trunks serve as the backbone of structured fiber cabling, connecting MTP cassettes, patch panels, and enclosures in spine-leaf architectures, data center interconnects, and high-speed storage networks. Factory-terminated connectors eliminate field termination errors and reduce installation time.

MTP Harness Cables

MTP harness cables, also known as MTP breakout cables, split a single MTP connector into individual LC legs for direct connection to SFP and XFP transceivers. Available in OS2 single mode and OM3 multimode with 12, 24, 48, and 72 strand counts, these fan-out assemblies bridge high-density MTP trunks with standard LC equipment ports. Plenum-rated OFNP jackets support installation in air-handling spaces. MTP harness cables are commonly used in data distribution patch panels and data center top-of-rack switching where trunk cables need to fan out to individual ports.
