Amphenol Cables

An Amphenol cable is a type of telecom cable made famous by the brand of the company that originally manufactured them. Amphenol Corporation is a major producer of networking cable including coax, fiber optic, and telco cable. The term Amphenol cable comes from the company’s original name: American Phenolic Corp.

Primus Cable’s Amphenol Cable with M/F Connectors comes in a polyvinyl chloride jacket with 25 pairs of polarized pins on the end connector. The Amphenol cable is suited to handle 25 data channels or phone lines, and is ideal for connecting multiple voice or data lines for a telecom LAN network. This 24 AWG diameter cable features male to female 90 degree connectors.

We provide Amphenol cable with female to female, and male to male connectors as well. This Amphenol cable for telecommunications is generally used with pre-wired 66 blocks pre-assembled with an RJ-21 female connector. Our Amphenol cable ranges in length from 5 feet to up to 100 feet.

Primus Cable provides both 66 and 110 style Telco Blocks for wiring telephone and data systems. Although we carry both styles, the newer 110 style telco block is preferred for their superior crosstalk characteristics. 110 style telco blocks also allow higher density terminations and meet higher bandwidth specifications.

Make sure you have the necessary Bridge Clips for your telco blocks. Our 66 block bridge clips are available in packs of 100, and are simple to install. Bridge clips are used to connect the two center terminals, forming a point of interface between the subscriber and provider. Bridge clips can be easily removed by a technician to troubleshoot the connection.
