Copperhead Tracer Wire

Copperhead copper-clad steel (CCS) tracer wire combines a steel core with copper cladding for the strength of steel and the conductivity of copper. All Copperhead tracer wire features high-density polyethylene (HDPE) insulation rated for direct burial, APWA color coding for utility identification, and Made in USA manufacturing. Available in three constructions for different installation methods.

High Strength Tracer Wire

High Strength CCS Tracer Wire is the standard for open cut, trenching, and plowing applications where ground above the utilities can be disturbed. It provides a strong yet flexible conductor with reliable 21% conductivity for accurate locating. Available in 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, and 8 AWG with 30 mil or 45 mil HDPE insulation depending on gauge. APWA color-coded jackets in black, white, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow identify the buried utility type.

SoloShot™ Extra-High Strength Tracer Wire

SoloShot Extra-High Strength CCS Tracer Wire is built for horizontal directional drilling applications where the bore must go under roads, sidewalks, buildings, or existing land that cannot be disturbed. The extra-high strength construction withstands the pulling forces of directional boring without breaking, allowing utilities to be connected from one side of an obstruction to the other. Available in 12, 10, and 8 AWG with 45 mil HDPE insulation.

SuperFlex™ Tracer Wire

SuperFlex CCS Tracer Wire offers the flexibility of solid copper with the strength and durability of copper-clad steel. Designed for light-duty open cut applications where ease of handling and bend radius matter. Available in 18, 16, 14, 12, and 10 AWG with 30 mil or 45 mil HDPE insulation.
