Collection: PLC Fiber Optic Splitters

PLC fiber splitters provide reliable optical power distribution for FTTx, PON, and ODN networks. Built with quartz-based waveguide technology, these blockless splitters deliver uniform signal splitting with low insertion loss across a wide 1260nm–1650nm wavelength range. Available in 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, and 1x16 configurations with SC/APC connectors and 900um G657A1 bend-insensitive fiber pigtails.

PLC Splitter Configurations

1x2 splitters divide a single optical input across two outputs with maximum insertion loss of 4.4dB. 1x4 splitters distribute to four outputs at up to 7.9dB loss. 1x8 splitters support eight outputs at up to 11.0dB loss. 1x16 splitters provide sixteen outputs at up to 14.1dB loss. All configurations maintain uniformity within 1.0dB or less and deliver return loss of 60dB with APC polish.

Applications

These blockless PLC splitters are designed for installation in fiber optic splice closures, distribution boxes, and optical cabinets. They enable a single OLT port to serve multiple subscribers in GPON and EPON networks, reducing fiber deployment costs while maintaining signal integrity. The compact blockless design with bend-insensitive G657A1 fiber simplifies routing in tight enclosures.

Compliant with GR-1209-CORE-2001, GR-1221-CORE-1999, and RoHS standards, these splitters operate reliably from -40°C to +85°C and withstand up to 93% relative humidity.
