Fiber optic antifreeze gel protects cables from damage due to ice formation
Polywater® IceFree™ Cable Antifreeze Gel is a specialty, non-freezing gel that is pumped into conduits around cables to prevent water ingress and subsequent ice formation and is recommended for systems placed above the frost line. Polywater IceFree fiber optic antifreeze gel has protected the cables of thousands of bridges and highway crossings and other vulnerable areas exposed to freezing temperatures.

Product Notes
- Does not stress crack polyethylene jackets after 168 hours of exposure when tested to ASTM D1693.
- IceFree has good temperature stability. It will not phase out or separate after freeze/thaw cycle testing. In-Service Temperature use range is -50°F to 120°F (-45°C to 50° C).
- IceFree antifreeze gel is a thick gel that can be installed using a high-pressure grease pump. The Polywater LP-D5 drill pump works for short distances, less than 20 feet (6 meters).
