Copperhead Ground Rod with Twist-On Connector
The 1.5-lb drive-in magnesium Ground Rod pulls a low-voltage electrical signal along the target tracer wire and delivers the signal to earth, where it travels back to the ground established at the locate transmitter. The Ground Rod is essential in completing the electrical circuit needed for successful utility locating.
Locating an underground utility using tracer wire is accomplished by placing a low-voltage charge on a target tracer wire. When the tracer wire system is grounded properly with Ground Rods, a complete electrical circuit is created for accurate locates. Be sure to ground all tracer wire dead ends. Available in 12 AWG and 14 AWG wire configurations.
