SnakePit® Lite Duty XL Adjustable Access Point
The SnakePit® family of access points provides a secure, direct connection to tracer wire systems at ground level in a variety of applications from light-duty off-roadway to heavy-duty roadway. These access points feature anti-corrosion gel to protect wires, locking covers that protect against tampering, and encapsulated magnets that allow for detection by ferrous metal detectors. Available in APWA color-coded options for proper utility identification.
The SnakePit® Lite Duty XL Adjustable is larger and longer than the standard light-duty style. It provides access to a tracer wire system at ground level in light-duty and off-roadway applications where fluctuations in grade or ground settling are likely. Select from 3 lid options:
Single-terminal Cast Iron Lid: no ground rod wire connection point; must remove lid to access wires; part # LDXL36*TP-ADJ
Two-terminal Switchable Lid: provides a direct connection point for the utility locate transmitter PLUS ground switch that turns tracer wire ground off/on from the top of the lid; no need to remove the lid; part # LDXL36*2T-ADJ-SW
Five-terminal Cast Iron Lid: must remove lid to access wires; part # LDXL36*5T-ADJ
