Description

Standard/Quad Shield ProSNS™ F-Type RG11 Coax Cable Connector

The ProSNS™ Universal RG11 F Connector boasts Belden's superior return loss standards for enhanced impedance stability and reduced signal loss. It ensures quick, reliable terminations ideal for CATV, DSS, Security, Home Theater, and Residential Structured wiring. This compression connector features an air dielectric and a universal 7/16" nut, offering increased thread count for weather-tight, secure terminations with enhanced pull-out strength in a simple, one-piece design. Simplify your coaxial cable installations with this professional-grade connector.

Where to use Coaxial Cable

A broad range of applications exist for coaxial cabling. It is widely used with home entertainment equipment such as Cable Television (CATV), Digital HDTV, Audio / Video, and Digital Satellite. It is also used with security cameras, and GPS Systems.

Applications

Coaxial cable is used to transmit radio frequency energy. The advantage of coaxial cable is that the electromagnetic field carrying the signal occurs only in the space between the inner and outer conductors, allowing the cable to be installed next to metal objects without power loss. Additionally, coaxial cable provides protection for the signal from external electromagnetic interference. Coaxial cables connect radio transmitters and receivers to their antennas, establish computer network (Internet) connections, facilitate digital audio transmission (S/PDIF), and distribute cable television signals.

Installation Instructions

Cable Preparation:

Figure 1

Use our TL5-3485 or an industry standard 1/4 x 1/4 cable prep tool. Assure that the braid is folded back onto the jacket as shown in Figure 1.

Connector Installation:

Push the center conductor into the gold center pin and install the connector onto the cable until you see the plastic pin protrude from the nut. Remove the plastic pin and verify that the center pin protrudes slightly past the end of the nut. You will not see the cable dielectric on the inside of the nut.

Position the connector into the tool as shown below:

Activate the tool and ensure there is no gap after termination:
