Fiber Optic Cleaning

Fiber optic cable is susceptible to signal degradation from even the smallest dust particles and foreign objects. Don’t risk the reliability of your fiber network by failing to properly clean system components. All it takes is a 9 micron dust particle to completely obscure the core of a single mode fiber, rendering it useless. By comparison the human hair averages between 50 and 75 microns in diameter.

Mitigate the risk of fiber optic contamination with fiber optic cleaners, fiber cleaning pens, and cleaning wipes. These handy fiber cleaners can remove contaminants like: dust, dirt, oils, film residue, and solvent coating. The Mini One-Click® ST, SC, FC Fiber Cleaning Pens are excellent for maintaining high density fiber optic networks.

This compact, ergonomic solution works well around tight high density spaces. Utilizing mechanical push action to advance optical cleaning tape, the cleaning tip is also rotated to ensure proper cleaning. Just insert the fiber optic cleaner pen into an adapter or connector and push until audible click is heard. This fiber optic cleaner pen is small enough to fit into a shirt pocket.
