LC - Fiber Patch Cables

LC fiber optic patch cables use the compact LC connector, the industry standard for high-density networking. With a footprint half the size of SC connectors, LC duplex cables fit SFP, SFP+, and XFP transceivers in switches, routers, and patch panels where port density is critical. Available in single mode OS2 and multimode OM1, OM3, and OM4, LC patch cords cover applications from short-reach data center links to long-haul single mode runs up to 10km.

Single Mode LC

Single Mode 9/125 (OS2) LC fiber optic cables are used for long-distance applications due to the low rate of attenuation that results from the single projected light source. Ideal for indoor as well as outdoor applications, OS2 LC patch cables reach distances of up to 10km (6.21371 miles) at 1310nm wavelengths. Available with UPC polish for standard performance and APC polish for FTTx and GPON networks where low back reflection is required.

Multimode LC

Multimode 62.5/125 (OM1) LC fiber optic cables have the largest fiber core and are suited for legacy short-distance applications. Multimode 50/125 (OM3) LC patch cables deliver 10 Gigabit speeds up to 300 meters with improved glass clarity over OM1. Multimode 50/125 (OM4) LC cables extend 10 Gigabit reach to 400 meters and support 40/100 Gigabit at shorter distances, making them the preferred choice for modern data centers. All multimode LC cables use PC polish.

LC Connector Features

LC connectors use a push-pull latch mechanism for secure connections and easy access in dense patch fields. Options include standard duplex, uniboot single-boot designs that reduce cable bulk by up to 50%, and switchable uniboot versions with tool-free polarity reversal. Snap-in LC connectors simplify installation into keystone panels and faceplates for premise wiring applications.
