SnakePit® Concrete/Driveway Access Point
The SnakePit® family of access points provides a secure, direct connection to tracer wire systems at ground level in a variety of applications from light-duty off-roadway to heavy-duty roadway. These access points feature anti-corrosion gel to protect wires, locking covers that protect against tampering, and encapsulated magnets that allow for detection by ferrous metal detectors. Available in APWA color-coded options for proper utility identification.
The SnakePit® Concrete/Driveway provides access to a tracer wire system at ground level in low-traffic roads and driveway applications. Select from 3 lid options:
Single-terminal Cast Iron Lid: no ground rod wire connection point; must remove lid to access wires; part # CD14*TP
Two-terminal Switchable Lid: provides a direct connection point for the utility locate transmitter PLUS ground switch that turns tracer wire ground off/on from the top of the lid; no need to remove the lid; part # CD14*2T-SW
Five-terminal Cast Iron Lid: must remove lid to access wires; part # CD14*5T
