These purpose-built fiber installation kit for technicians handling backbone fiber work including traditional set ups like edge & enterprise, hyperscales, colocations and AI networks.
This kit covers every hands-on stage of fiber cable installation, from slitting and ringing armored and standard fiber cable jackets across a wide range of outer diameters, to cutting Kevlar and aramid yarn strength members cleanly, separating ribbon fiber for individual splice prep, stripping coating and buffer layers precisely before termination, and verifying completed links with insertion loss measurement and visual fault location.
Whether commissioning new backbone fiber runs in a hyperscale data hall, splicing into existing infrastructure during a capacity expansion, or performing mid-span access on armored cable in a live colocation environment, the TK-DC08 gives technicians the right tool for every stage of the fiber installation workflow, all organized in a rugged technician backpack built for daily on-site use.

- Prepare armored and standard fiber cable for termination and splicing across backbone installations and mid-span access work with the AST-210 for armored fiber slitting and ringing, CST-1900 for standard jacket stripping across a wide range of outer diameters, and JIC-375 for precise multi-layer stripping of jackets, buffer layers, and coatings
- Cut and slit fiber cable with the right tool for each material. JIC-186 cuts Kevlar and aramid yarn strength members cleanly in a single pass, JIC-63050 handles high-leverage cable cutting, KN-7 covers general cable splicing, and RCS-30 slits duct and cable with a ratcheting action. Eliminate frayed cuts, slow progress, and tool damage that comes from using the wrong cutter on high-strength fiber cable materials.
- Separate individual ribbon fibers from multi-fiber ribbon cable for splice prep with RFS-100, then clean bare fiber and connector end-faces before splicing and termination using CWP-125 cotton swabs, FCF-3 Precision Cleaning Fluid and DW-90 dry wipes or FW-50 wet wipes. Remove contamination that causes insertion loss and splice failure across MPO backbone systems and high-density trunk cabling in hyperscale and enterprise environments.
- FLS-50S verifies fiber link performance while VFL-150 locates gross faults quickly after installation. FPM-50S measures insertion loss on completed single-mode runs and tracing breaks, tight bends, and miswired ports as visible light without requiring full OTDR setup time.
- Work through every hands-on task in the fiber installation workflow, SD-61 drives the full range of rack and panel fastener types, JIC-842 handles gripping, bending, and cutting in tight spaces, and SOL-F1 keeps low-light cable trays, duct runs, and equipment aisles visible throughout the installation.
- Keep all fiber installation tools organized and field-ready in the BP-100 rugged technician backpack, covering every prep and verification stage for backbone fiber work across new hyperscale data hall commissioning, enterprise network builds, and colocation capacity expansions.
