Modular Plugs and Boots
The Registered Jack (the RJ45) Modular Plug is a standardized interface for data networking. The 8 position, 8 contact (the 8P8C) is the standardized RJ45 configuration, and the most common type of Plug for Ethernet networking. An important aspect to note is that male modular connectors are called Plugs, while female connectors are Jacks. In addition, we supply RJ45 connectors that help reduce the distance between conductor and contacts for optimum signal strength.

The Shielded RJ45 Connector for CAT5E is a great pick for CAT5E applications; an RJ45 Modular Plug with a polycarbonate housing and a copper alloy shielded shell. This Plug is made to accommodate both solid and stranded CAT5E cable with four twisted pair conductors. This RJ45 connector fits 24 to 26 gauge wires, and has 50 microns of gold plating on the contacts to establish a seamless connection.
The Shielded RJ45 Connector for CAT6, CAT6A, CAT7 solid and stranded Ethernet cable is our multifaceted choice; the contacts are gold plated to improve conductivity, while the shielding prevents signal loss. This plug has a slim style strain relief and wire alignment inserts promote efficient cable assembly and termination. This RJ45 connector is most popular among CAT6A cable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet networking.
And as a means of facilitating your installation process, we also supply crimping tools, such as the EZ RJ45® Wire Crimping Tool for efficiently preparing CAT5/5E/6 applications. This particular tool also works with RJ11 and RJ12 connectors, with the exception of AMP. This versatile crimping tool has both a wire cutter and wire stripper built in. The ratcheted straight action crimping motion ensures a uniform crimp every cycle, for precise and consistent results.
