The Motion Sensor utilizes infrared detection to identify intruders. It is a key component of the burglar alarm system. Passive infrared motion sensors can detect intruders by picking up heat signatures. These devices can differentiate between heat given off by a human vs that of a small animal or insect. A motion sensor excels in preventing theft when the outside perimeter is breached.
